Are you kidding me, I can not believe it is August. It seems like just yesterday that I was "spring" shoe shopping! (I'm like a "crack ho" when it comes to shoes). I. Love. Shoes. It is a good reason for living. Ok...not really but I just wanted you to know how serious I am about the subject.
But, OK, I am digressing here. It is a blog about design, not shoes.
I just got back in town from a wedding in Denver. Can I just mention that there is no humidity out there? My hair behaved perfectly. The minute we stepped off the plane here in Atlanta, I looked like "Buckwheat". :)
OK...once again, back to design. A few posts back I showed you some things I got at Scott's for my guest room. The room is not finished yet, but here are some pictures of how I used a few of my purchases.
This is on the bathroom door which opens into the room. I hate that but hopefully this will make it a little more interesting.
The grain sack. OK...so maybe I use them a lot, but please, where can you get a pillow that size for 18.00. And, I tied this one just to make it look a little different. I love them.
The cola box for 5.00 and the spools of thread.
The Manual Canovas fabric which I trimmed with black and white ticking.
I bought the Z because it was so much prettier than the H which is my initial :) I had to make it into a pillow.
AND...the ore. I have used it to store extra toilet paper in the guest bath.
So there you have it. A little preview of my flea market finds.
It is Sunday night, and time to relax with my poochies. I missed them.
Yes, I DO let them on my furniture. I just could not follow my rule :)
AND, my bed.
And, one more! In March after they have been shaved. I see I have gotten a little carried away with my dog pictures. I'm done now.

I love your use of the oar, and your other finds! I'm not sure we have a Scotts near here.
Thanks so much for stopping by and becoming a follower!
I can already tell I'm going to like this room just by catching a peek of that striped rug and the big "3".
My hair looks like Buckwheat in the humidity, too, if it makes you feel better :)
I love it all, but especially the oar! I showed it to my hub, and he said we didn't have enough room!!(we have as much as you do) I need a husband that travels.
I want to kiss your babies, they are so....adorable!xoxo
GREAT finds, all!
I wish I'd known
about Scott's when
my folks lived in
the Atlanta area,
ten years ago ~

Yes, I too am a nappy girl in the humidity. You found some great stuff and how funny is it that picked my initial "z"?
