Photo shoot for Better Homes and Gardens

Last Monday Better Homes and Gardens came to my house for a photo shoot!  It was so much fun watching the stylist Annette Joseph  http://www.ajphotostylist.net/  and the photographer Sarah Doiro  http://www.sarahdorio.com/   work their magic.  They came at 8:30 AM and did not leave until 6:30 PM.  I don't know what issue it will be in but I will let you know as soon as I do!!!
Here are a few pictures....

This is Sarah working her magic!!!
Annette and Sarah
Sarah....she was so cute!
One little shot of the coffee table took over an hour!
They move everything around...I probably won't even recognize my own room!

Oh what fun! Did they shoot your entire house? What is the subject....Atlanta Designer's Homes?? I love everything, and look forward to the issue, but it probably won't be out for at least 6 months??!!

No, just the family room, keeping area, kitchen and a small shot of LR. I am not quite sure what the subject will be but I don't think it will be out for at least 4-6 months! I'll let you know!

It is kind of a long story....but in 1995 I entered my bath in a remodeling contest for a local magazine, Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles. It was for homes built before 1952, and mine was built in 1946! I didn't win, I can't remember what the prize was, but they called me to see if they could run it in the magazine as a before and after. It was right when people were really starting to renovate. The editor, Lisa Mowry, eventually went on to work for Meredith Publications. She still had my contact info and called to see if a bath remodel magazine could re-run the article! Uh yea! So, now I send her projects that I think she might be interested in and have had quite a few things published. When I started the blog...she saw some pictures of my house and asked if she could come "scout" it. I REALLY never expected that it would be chosen....you know we are always so critical of our own homes! It seems like time and money always prevent me from doing what I REALLY want to do to my place!!! But it was fun, and the photographer was incredible! I am sure it won't be out for 5-6 months, but I will be sure to post when it is! Thanks

I'm popping over from Rhoda's blog. How exciting to have a BHG photo shoot. Your home is definitely worthy. It's beautiful. I love the built-ins around the fireplace. I'm about to check out more of your blog. :)
