SOUTHEASTERN DESIGNER SHOWHOUSE AND GARDENS SPRING 2019

Well we all know how much I love a showhouse and twice a year I am excited to be invited to preview the Southeastern Showhouse sponsored by Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles.

Perks of blogging and I'm not mad at it:)

This years home was built by Southern Gentry Homes.  This 6 bedroom 7 bath 12,000 sq ft home is a stunner for sure.

The day I went....it wasn't quite finished.  Designers were putting their finishing touches on spaces and they were busy landscaping!  Fortunately for me they sent me some pretty pictures which are sprinkled in with my #crappyiphonepictures  You will definitely be able to tell the difference:)

I walked in to the friends entry.....

And then hit this yummy powder bath which was full of texture!

I rounded the corner and walked into the kitchen....

Which was chock full of texture....wood tones, stone and iron.

Of course I loved it:)

Right next to it was the casual dining area....

The patina of the leather chairs and the rug was amazing to me.

From that area you enter a huge family room....

I am loving a floral sofa!

These vaulted ceilings were incredible!

The size of this fig tree....holy smokes!

A beautiful screened porch......

Chandy goodness!

This is the bar area and the styling was definitely on point!

OK.....this dining space was amazing!

These pictures do not do this room justice!

The foyer....leading into this perfect black and white room!

A little outdoor living in the front of the house.

Master on the main....was very traditional and beautiful.

Right into the master bath which was another amazing space.

Cutest little fixture ever!

So that's it for the main floor.....

Having done a few showhouses.....I can appreciate all of the hard work that goes into it.  #itainteasy

I loved most of it, but it seamed to me that the design lost its way the further into the pictures I got. The kitchen, powder room and dining room was awesome. I did not love the master bedroom so much.

I love the kitchen and the dining and bar areas! So pretty and modern with a mix of floral..Is that the famous floral Hollyhock or what's it called? LOVE it. Anyhow, I agree that the rest of the house got a little off the message , but that happens with show houses doesn't it? I mean there are so many designers. One thing I find crazy and excessive is the two dining areas.. That is really going away in California. Most here now do just one and this main one was big enough to be the formal one as well. Of course this house is huge..Fun! I can't believe there is more to see. Thanks for taking us along. x Kim
