ONE ROOM CHALLENGE REVEAL

I feel like it's graduation day.....that these 6 weeks have actually been 6 years and I am a brain surgeon now.

OK...that is a stretch but I am sure as a med student you sometimes think....WTH was I thinking.

Well....I am sure if I interview some of the others in my "squadron" we have all thought at some time or another "dayum......this sounded like a good idea at the time".

And a good idea it is because Lord knows.... how many times have we looked at a certain room and said "somebody light a fire under me to get this done!"

ORC=fire is lighted.

Linda....the ex-bunny thanks you as she has been the happy reciprocate of 2 ORC's!  We are already planning other room makeovers if I get invited back!

By the way.....we need to figure out a "virtual" wrap party:)

.....The One Room Challenge Reveal

If for some weird reason you stumbled here today and you are scratching you head.....get all the 411 here!

So you don't have to keep going back and forth I am going to show the before shots again over at "The Bunny Hutch".

Before

Let's pull this room together.....

After

I just can not take a picture into a window on a sunny day....it is above my pay scale:)

I found this brass chest at a yard sale for $10.00!

Three fabulous design books....

Before

The TV was moved because of the following reasons:  Mantel too high and room just too small.

After

My gallery wall courtesy of Minted and Ashley Hizer.

Lamps Plus....another sponsor helped us update that 20 year old ceiling fan!

Before
Hot mess.....

After

Those 10 year old Mitchell Gold chairs I had reupholstered are perfect for extra seating.  By keeping them neutral it helped with not closing in the space too much.

Before

After

We painted her old black console and added new knobs.  The cabinets flanking the FP finally got built after 10 years!

Love these pillows from Spark Modern

This cute little lamp is from Target.....we auditioned quite a few but this simple one was the winner:)

Before

After

You might notice I never did put any trim on the curtains....I could not make a decision.....and sometimes in my world it means that I should leave it be.

Blue Pillows from Designs By Sudi and paisley pillows from Southern Shades

Sweater Pillow from Pottery Barn

This is the best I could do getting a shot of the sheer linen relaxed roman shades [courtesy of Sudi] we installed above the 2 small windows....

What cha think about the wallpaper?  I can't tell you how much impact it made in the room....

This awesome art came from Marquin Designs
I planned on using it in my house but it fit so perfectly here.....

Before

After

Here is where the black bench landed....
With a floor lamp on either side for light.

Heading over to the dining area.....

Before

After

The chairs got a new coat of black paint....

Before

After
Here you can see where the wallpaper ends and we started the planking....which wrapped around into the kitchen.

The light fixture is definitely one of my favorite things....

The buffet got painted the same color as the console with the same knobs.

We needed some pattern over on this side of the room.....and these recovered beauties helped.

If you have not fallen asleep yet or moved on here is the last part of the makeover:)

Before

After
I love the lights we ordered from one of our sponsors Wayfair

I purchased this botanical at Scott's years ago.  I never had a space for it in my house which is sad right?  I told her it is on loan.....

Here you can see where it hangs.....

This is Sweet Pea's favorite place on the Pottery Barn sectional!

OK.....listen up.....  All details Friday!  So come back and I will answer any questions you could possibly have.

Linda....you hard working girl.  Thank you so much for including me again and working so darn hard getting us some fabulous sponsors!  You are full of awesomeness:)

I am beyond excited to check out all the reveals today.....Let's do it!

Sherry,
This ORC is beyond fabulous! I know your sister must be thrilled, and too.
This ORC was like three in one, you've got to be exhausted.
The colors and textures are relaxed yet elegant.
Congrats! Another stellar ORC in the books!!
