FASHION

OK....since most of my design projects are at a midway point I am back to fashion....and by fashion I mean bathing suits!

And..... I am not a big fan....haha.  I mean at 69 I just don't think it's a good look.  I know.... I shouldn't be so critical but there it is.

I suppose if I was going to a beautiful resort I might rethink that because wouldn't it be nice to lay on a lounge chair sipping on a drink with a cute little umbrella in it:)

One thing is for sure my bikini days are over so I just picked some cute one pieces.....

I love this black suit and especially the back!

I also think a little ruching is a good thing and can be slimming.....

hat

I would probably never take off this cute coverup and just swim in it...haha

This coverup is basically a dress and would look cute without the darn swimsuit!

This company Summersalt was started by 2 women and I like that the suits have nice coverage from behind!

This is one of my favorites and I love the stripe coverup!

suit

So....I am sure some of you have a great vaca planned this summer.....

Which look is your favorite?

A question about the wallpaper from the last post:

It's from Schumacher and called Blommen. It comes in black and white, I think green and white and maybe navy and white!

Hope you guys have a rocking weekend....make it the best it can be!

I wear swim shorts and a tankini top to the pool. My thighs and butt thank me.

Thinks for the post Sherry. Perfect timing! Happy belated birthday to you! I’m looking forward to celebrating my 68th birthday at Sea Island next month. I’m in a panic mode about finding a one piece suit. Before COVID I still rocked a two piece. I swear my body aged 5 yrs in the past year. I’ve never had a stitch, broken bone or a stay in the hospital until this past November when I had to have an emergency appendicitis surgery. Going to a hospital during a pandemic is beyond stressful. I’m still my petite size xs, s, or a 4 but I now have jiggles. Im finding one pieces are too short in the torso (not a good look from front or back) and if I size up there’s too much fabric in the tush. Junior sizes are cut to narrow in the crotch and not enough coverage in the back. I’m feeling stuck in the middle. Too old to be young and to young to be old. I’m excited about ordering a couple cover-ups you posted and keeping them very close to me 😉

What cute selections! Your blog is always one I am glad to see in my inbox. Thank you. At 67, swimsuits are not on my radar but the coverups, hats, and sandals I can dig. Now I am thinking beach trip. Del Mar, CA is on my hit parade.

Cute suits, the last one with the ruching is my favorite. If that wallpaper comes in navy and white, I need it!

At 71, I can barely remember those summer days when I practically lives in a teeny weenie bikini! But have to think twice or maybe 10 times how badly I want to put on a swimsuit. My figure is fine but it’s my skin, all those days wearing my bikinis basking, or I should say baking, in the sun did a number on my skin. But back in the day, no one really talked about protecting your skin like they do now. Oh well, I loved all your picks and if I were going to some tropical paradise, I’d jump on these beauties!

All swimsuits should be designed by women! Athleta (owned by GAP) has some cute swim shorts that can be worn with any type of top
Sarongs and cute cover-ups are a girl's best friend! Consider it your outside outfit like a winter coat- make it cute cause you may be wearing it all day.
Sunscreen use to be called suntan lotion! Now we block it, then we sent it an invitation to join us!
Going to St Maartin in May- I want that umbrella drink on the beach!

Happy Spring Everyone!
