FABRIC STORY

Before we get to the good stuff.....can I just vent for a minute?

Photography and blogging.  That is some serious pressure.  You can't just throw up a before and after any more.  Oh nooooo it has to be styled, flowered, throw in a pair of shoes or boots and mess up the pillows a little.

I spent Saturday photographing my One Room Challenge.  200 images.  Well one good thing about seeing something in a picture is that you can also see if it looks good or needs tweaking.

Back I went on Sunday [150 this time] to tweak and re-shoot.
Of course now I have to rifle through  them....edit....crop.

It feels endless with a dash of pressure.  You know that recipe right?

Anyway.....enough complaining.

As a designer there is not much I enjoy more than a playground full of so many wonderful choices.

I can be walking through ADAC and see one that will stop me in my tracks.

This one did just that. Hines & Co. Fabienne/Turquoise.
It's no secret I love these colors.
Mix it with a pretty taupe and white.....and well you have the perfect combination.

I came home with it.  Yes I did.

Then put it together with some friends.

So we would start with a KW wallpaper by Schumacher.

If it was a dining room then I would use the floral on these chairs.
They are from Bernhardt Interiors.

I might do a bench with this fabric just to bring in some masculinity.
Lee Jofa: Windowpane Wool  color: mink

AND just cause I have to use this fabric with it.

Maybe 2 chairs on either side of a buffet covered in this Kravet Versailles [E25901]

with the Beetle pillows!

Oh...... and this mirror over the buffet.

Another beauty from Bernhardt Interiors

Again....the curtains would be cream linen [duh] with one of those fun trims from Robert Allen.

Who's with me on this one?

Dreamland is a wonderful place:)

Snap!  Back to reality.
Shopping for an install for the next 2 days.

Hope you slap Monday and show it who is boss....that is what I am going to do.

Happy Monday!!
Love the colors, patterns and textures, BUT no can do the bee fabric, they remind me of a very unpleasant beetle that can cross my path in the summer from time to time, EEEEEW!!! Sorry, but you know I am a big fan of your talents,
xoxo Kathysue
PS. YOU have to use that wallpaper somewhere in your house, LOVE!!

LOVE! The bee fabric is killing me! And your lament about the photos, oy vey, I am in the middle of that right now. Throw in the fact that my girl is a slob, so not just styling but clean up…...

Love that fabric! And yes, using the beetle fabric would be a must for me too...despite the fact that I hate those suckers in the summertime!

This makes we so happy...the colors and textures. I know what you mean about ORC photos...I don't want to over-do it with too many shots...but oh well.

When I first saw the floral fabric & all the friends you put with it, my first thought was, "I want that for my bedroom".
But a dining room could be beautiful also.

And that mirror....I'm in love!

You've great a great eye for mixing fabrics. They work beautifully together. As for the mirror, I always fall hard for sun mirrors.

I am using a camo from Clarence house in my 3 year old's big boy bedroom. I think he is going to need that Hines Bug fabric. So glad I saw this! Cannot wait to see your ORC reveal tomorrow!
