WINDOW TREATMENTS

Thanks for all the feedback on my recent install....and I know the most asked question is about the carpet.  Well....I wish I could give you the information.  Unfortunately they code the info on the back of the sample so I can't "shop" them....

The best thing you can do is go to a place where they sell carpet and show them the picture.  I am sure you can find the same goods.  It is 100% polyester.

I think someone wanted to know the color of the walls....BM Seapearl.  And the small table is from Currey and Co.  The upholstered furniture is from Charles Stewart and all covered in performance fabric.  The credenzas are from Universal Furniture.

Here I am again trying to crank out a post before I have to leave and walk "queenie".  If I was a better blogger I would do my post at night but hey.....my train of thought is crappy after working all day.

So we will keep it short and tight this AM.....

I have some pictures of window treatments that were installed at my project yesterday.  They haven't closed yet but it will be nice to have privacy on their first night in their new house....

This house is actually in my neighborhood and is another home built by Ladisic Fine Homes.  The architect was Linda MacArthur.

This is the large window in the master bathroom....but definitely needed some privacy.

And this is the master bedroom

Here is the outside view!

I chose a sheer and we doubled it for privacy.....

This shot was actually taken before they were dressed.....

In the master we are doing a double curtain.  Sheers for the daytime and then blackout for night!

This install took all of 5 hours.....with steaming and dressing them......

The rods are french returns which means they don't have finials and just return into the wall.

Since the homes are close in my neighborhood you need some privacy even during the day!

Into the foyer....

Again.....this will block the view of the house next door but still let in light!

These hadn't been steamed yet....but you get the picture:)

And......scene.

Dunzo.

Happy Halloween!  Some of my best childhood memories are Halloween.  I grew up in Myers Park, Charlotte and my Mom would dress up and decorate our garage like a haunted house and all the neighborhood kids would go through it that night!  This was back when you didn't buy costumes!   My Mom actually made every holiday a production.....long before it was "trendy"....

So long kids....

THIS AND THAT

\I have to say that so far....this week has been better than last week.  Whoa....there's a news flash for you.  Everyone said that each day gets a little better and y'all might be right.  Hate to admit that because....well you know...maybe I wanted to wallow in my self pity just a little longer.

I don't think that is how life works....

I have been trying to catch up at work and have made some progress!  That is a good thing.

Let's see.....where to start.

Had a curtain install....and Lord these are pretty!  The Scalamandre trim along the leading edge of these flax colored linen curtains was a hit!

We recovered this pretty Bungalow 5 chair with a quilted Duralee fabric....

I worked out at Bach and they always have an inspirational quote hanging around.....

Over at my Friar Tuck project that I posted about last week they started staining the doors.  Michael and I decided that maybe it was time to bring stained doors back.....these turned out so pretty!

Somebody asked where this project is located..... it's in Ansley which is another beautiful community here in Atlanta.

I have spent a lot of time picking out tile lately...I have 4 more houses to put together.....that is like 20 bathrooms!  Holy crap.  #sendhelp

Last Wednesday night I popped into Jenn Balcos Art Gallery to see some gorgeous art by Joe Adams....

I started cleaning out the office here at my house and of course anytime I am going through all of my fabric samples I get distracted.

It's the curse of a designer....:)

One of the vanities that just got built for Friar Tuck!

It took me forever to find the hardware for this one but I love how it turned out!

I couple of people told me about these Bliss pads  so I bought some.  I am so gullible sometimes but they sting a little when you use them so that means they are working right?

I have had fun posting my #outfitoftheday on insta stories!  This is a "pumpsuit" that I bought at Target [no longer available].

And a friend of mine came over to take some pictures....

Here it is with a little jacket and some boots...

Of course Cami had to get in the picture:)

It has been a minute since I have done anything to my house....but the other day in the middle of total chaos I re-arranged the top of this cabinet...

Not sure why....but it does look better than before so that's a plus.

Y'all I can't find anything to watch right now.  After Offspring.....everything is boring to me.  I have started at least 10 shows on Netflix and after 2 or 3 episodes I'm done.  It must be me because so many people have recommended shows that they swear are incredible!

Just not feeling them.

I have been putting my life in order lately....getting insurance in my name, utilities....and all of that other stuff that comes with being single.  Even though I run my business.....now I have to run my life.  It's OK....I can do this.

The rain in Atlanta.....no words.

TRIMS

I have written about using trim on curtains and pillows before....so this is old news.  In fact since Pinterest, Houzz, and blogs is there anything I can tell you that you don't know?

Probably not so humor me.

I can share with you some new ones that I saw the other day at ADAC.

Stout Brothers has some reasonably priced trims that are carried at many fabric stores.  I was mainly looking at flat braids so that is what you are going to get:)

This style is one of my favorites....

Of course I am always using these colors....

So then I looked for some new examples and that turned out to be a timely job....just trying to find sources!  Geez.  I love ya but "ain't nobody got time for that"....:)

Here are the ones I found before I gave up and stomped off.

Greek key trim on a solid pillow

Sherry Hart Designs

On this one I brought in some small black pleated trim using a box style.

More greek key and some ribbon trim.

Parker Kennedy Living

If it looks like all I am showing is greek key you are almost right:)

 Parker Kennedy Living

Love the detail on this box style pillow at the corners.

Mrs. Howard

More box style with braid and flat braided trim.

Samuel and Sons

Pretty monogram framed with a double greek key.

Mrs. Howard

OK...so maybe this is the best example yet of the trims I showed you today!

Ivy Lane

One of my favorite pillow lines Lacefield Designs uses a lot of trims to define their pillows

I did find a pretty picture of some curtain trim...I love how delicate this is....

Things are progressing along with Cami.  I have weaned her off all drugs except for the Paxil [ my vet is going to help me with that].

I have been exercising her with 2-3 walks a day up to 3.5 miles!  She went to Dog Days for day care and did great.  Remember she has not been around any other dogs at all!

We decided to take her to the Piedmont Dog Park on Sunday....here is how that went.

Yup...the minute we got out of the car it started sprinkling but we weren't deterred....let's carry on.

We took cover and waiting 30 minutes for the rain to stop!  Because we did not believe the radar.

After...... we made it to the dog park.

Ha Ha.....here we are in the mud pit and NO dogs! Duh.....most sensible people left.

Alrighty then.....Trim and dogs.  That is a good combination right?
