2013 ATLANTA SYMPHONY DECORATOR SHOW HOUSE

OK....so I might say this every year but whoa......the show house is an overload of out right prettiness.

Every room I walked in I stood there in a stupid trance until someone snapped me out of it.  From the malachite in the foyer [see previous post for a glimpse of the real thing] to the whole room of Ikea greatness.

Yes....you read that right.  There is something for everyone this year and I think that is brilliant.

Why don't we just get started on some pictures.....

A little MM inspiration by my good friend [and fellow Inspiration Show House designer] Brian Alan Kirkland.

The master bedroom was done by Melanie Turner Interiors.  Hot damn it was pretty.

More Mary McDonald with her line of fabrics from Schumacher.
This room was so soft and pretty I drooled.

Can you see the subtle hand painting on the walls.....
I am serious when I say you HAVE TO SEE THIS ROOM.....

Janie K. Hirsch Interior Design did the master bath.  More Schumacher fabric and art featured from the talented Holly Irwin whose work is featured at dk Gallery in Marietta.

This small powder room was so hard to shoot.   Christi Rajevac gave it a good dose of mint green which we all know is a hot color this spring and there is a  light fixture in there that you must see.....!

I absolutely loved this bedroom by James Farmer and Maggie Griffin.  It had a Southern Accents feel [Still sad over the demise of that publication] which is so timeless and classic.  Maggie has a great blog called Bellissimo and Bella.  She just posted her son's nursery and it's adorable.....

This bathroom was designed by Jillian Pritchard Cooke and Katie Kitchens.  The wallpaper is by Tempaper which is removable!  Great for indecisive bloggers who like to change things.....you know who you are:)

It was hard to shoot this room because the walls were navy blue....and they were beautiful!
Just another reason to get to the ASO Show House and see it all.....

Y'all....sit down and take a breath....these were the light fixtures in the kitchen.  I wanted to reach up and just rip one down for my very own...
YES.....to seeing this kitchen designed by Natalia Makarova from Karpaty Cabinets Inc.

Feast on the cabinet pulls....

The office by Courtney Giles had a great cinnamon color grasscloth on the walls.  The gallery of bird prints made such a statement.....She is extremely talented......
I remember how much I loved her room at the ASO Showhouse in 2012...

Speaking of grasscloth....
And more.....

K.....I have so many more pictures but why don't I save them for another post.

Every designer worked so hard and brought their best.....

The ASO Show House is open NOW....through May 12.  Don't wait......

Oh yeah.....how about one more shot.

Uh....now you really want to go right???

Gorgeous day here in Atlanta....

Shaboom......

Thanks Sherry, I am in bed with a nasty head cold! Finally got up and can focus the eyes and see! Looks like Melanie did a great MB and I know how she loves those stools!
This will be the first year I will miss in over 4 years...:(
So I really appreciate your pictures and commentary!
Also can't make it to the show home in Greensboro and my SIL is the City Engineer.....I could have gotten tickets.
Things are quiet here.....

Stunning designs! When you post more pictures I was wondering whether you have any pictures of the tops of the drapes in the master bedroom...the Mary McDonald Chinoiserie Panels. I ordered this fabric for some drapery (should arrive tomorrow) and was wondering how they pleated the top. I ordered the Blush colorway and I think that is what they used in the show house.
