SCHUMACHER

OK....so you guys all know my husband retired last June right?  When he was flying it was mostly on the weekends and I got pretty used to carving out my life during those times.

On Sunday I was doing my "thang".....you know get up.....spend some time with my bestie [the computer] and then do a little cleaning and straightening at mi casa.  I had a few tools out like the mop, broom, and vacuum and after about an hour he looks at me and says is somebody coming over?

I give him a big fat stink eye and say nope.....this is usually what I do on the weekends you're just not around to see it.  There is no "magic cleaning button" dude.

Men....gotta love em right?

Little lamb.

Now back to regular good stuff like fabricfabulousness.

It's no secret that Schumacher is one of my favorite lines.  I have been known to sleep with a few samples just to show some love....wink

In honor of The Pink Pagoda and her March Blue and White bash I thought I would post some of my favorite blue fabrics from them.

I am pretty sure this one rates as #1.
Pyne Hollyhock Indigo
I have this fabric in my house [in another color way] and it just does it for me.

Chiang Mai Dragon
You know it...you love it.

Katsugi
It's just fun....period.
Those are my top three.  I could work a room using any one of them.

But there's more....

I can't leave out Betwixt.  In every color I might add.

I have added a newcomer to the blue party.
Queen of Spain.  Isn't she a beaut?

Another whimsical print called Firecracker.

Nebaha Embroidery gives us a great chevron and greek key all wrapped up in one.

Mehndi Linen and this fabulous large scale pattern that would look great on a chair or curtains.

And last is Sikar Embroidery.

There you have my favorites.

And they really are.

Now Schumacher I have a teeny tiny small favor to ask.  I am on my knees begging [the love of fabric and wallpaper has no shame ]

I want this wallpaper.

Celerie Kimble/ Acanthus Stripe
In the worst way.

I'm serious....I need so little.... but wouldn't it be great if you gifted it to me?  Yes I just said that.  I am a long time Schumacher fan [I have a 22 year old Schumacher wallpaper in my master bath AND I still love it] and it's my birthday this week.

I will wear a I Love Schumacher t shirt for a month everywhere I go.  I will bring the girls at ADAC cookies.

Please consider my shameless plea.

For the love of God.

Anxiously awaiting.

Shaschumacher

Every. Single. Time. I read your blog, I laugh like a loon. I love your choices. If Schumacher says yes, can you please work on three rolls of Chiang for me?

You are so funny. Good luck with the begging and pleading, but I always say, if you don't ask the answer is definitely no.

YOU DESERVE that wallpaper!! Schumacher has some beauties. I think betwixt is the perfect coordinate to almost any mix of fabrics and they have so many colorways. Mary McDonalds fabric line has to be one of my favorites, still. I use to tell my boys, there is no Goodhouse Fairy, it is Mama cleaning up everyday!! They only notice if there is a mess in the middle of the room, all outlaying areas are out of their view, lol

Do I dare assume your husband is a pilot? I just started reading your blog, so I don't know the details. My husband is one and he just retired but I had a lot more time on my hands since he flew internationally. Well anyway, now that he is home my whole schedule is shot and we're building a house and, I'm still doing all the dinner planning and, house cleaning and. he wonders how I spend my time!!! Gotta love him, maybe I'll start micro-managing his time at home since he no longer has to do it at work!!!

Just read about your hubbys last flight...I remember standing in the cockpit with my husband at the helm while we did a go around of Sydney harbor, that was the good ole days before 911. He was with Flying Tigers then FedEx flying the big boys around. Thank you for your humor and design inspiration.

I might just lose some sleep over the Mehndi Linen...Imagining my front door painted Wythe Blue and four drapes in that print for my living room.. You have such amazing taste! I am consistently blown away at the ease in which you pull things together. You make it look so incredibly effortless!

Ha! That story cracked me up! Do they really think a house just stays clean?! Love all of these fabrics and really hope you get that wallpaper!
