BRUSHSTROKE

Holy smokes people....did you forget about me?  I know I missed you guys:)

I was at this for 4 days...

I had a great time hanging with old friends and new ones!

It seems I have a kindred spirit with Jennifer because we found ourselves on the last row everyday [late].

On one day she was a bit later than usual so while we were sitting there she was complaining that she had not had any coffee yet and kept going out to the main area to check on it's arrival.

I could tell she was slipping into the dark side..... I knew she needed help.  I got up to handle it [think Shirley MacLaine in Terms of Endearment].....meaning I am not asking for a vodka martini at 9:30 in the morning.  This is a high end place and GET ME A CUP OF COFFEE PLEASE.

After giving a guy my best "don't mess with me dude" I was skipping back into the conference with her coffee..... proud that I accomplished my task and came around the corner to something pretty disturbing........ she had given away my seat.

ayfkm?  I'm out there doing battle for her and some chick just gets a little testy about which seat she wants and she folds like a cheap tent.

Young people.

I celebrated this.

I'm old y'all.  That is all there is to it and I am mad as hell that time is going by so fast.  Geez....I will be wearing depends and throwing my teeth in a cup before I know it.

My friend Amanda had this darn cute purse that she scored on Ebay....come on.
Do you love?

She's a sassy little thing.

We all had dinner one night  Erika posted a picture of us on her Instagram.  Upon looking closely I noticed there was a huge hunk of spinach in my teeth.   It appears that I can't be trusted to OK any future images to be posted.

Check this out....

If you are local there is a new place to fill your belly.  St Cecilia

I pulled some images from the website.

A new concept from Atlanta chef-owner Ford Fry. Now I am no food critic but OMG it was so good.

Go. Eat.

Now....remember how I almost ruined your life with the app Waterlogue?

Well don't read any further if you are short on time cause there is a new kid in town.

It turns your photos into paintings!
Plus.....you can then have your artwork printed and delivered to you from within the app and hanging on your walls in a few days!

WHAT?

Yes.

And there are like a gazillion different "strokes" to use on the image.

What else can they invent.  I already need an 8 day week.

I posted this on Instagram yesterday.  It is a new project I am playing around with.

More details on Monday.

OK peeps....kick ass this weekend!

OMG first commenter today!! Loved following along with all of you at DBC - fun to see so many photos. And of course you had me cracking up as usual. And your fabric inspiration goodness looks excellent so far...more details, more details. Love that element of leather in there. Yum. Have a great weekend and happy belated birthday!

Happy Friday! Which I could say I accomplished as much as you did, but alas, I did not! My big birthday is tomorrow, and I hear you on time flying by. I can.not.stand.it. Anyway, love your fabric collection, especially the bottom one. I'm making pillows from that one soon. As always, thanks for the laugh!

Alrighty, now I feel like I'm all caught up. Happy belated birthday!! I had to laugh thinking about me carrying Amanda's purse. I don't think it would be quite as glamorous stuffed with diapers, hairbows and Goldfish crumbs... The two of you could pull it off, though.

Happy birthday; & I can always rely on you to put a smile on my face. I could just imagine the expression on your face when you found your seat gone.

Lovely fabric combo, can't wait to see what your plan is.

First, happy birthday! You may be older than you've ever been before, BUT, you're younger than you'll ever be again! Second, did you perhaps "accidentally on purpose" spill that coffee all over that young blogger? Third, another app??? I'm mesmerized by Waterlogue, so here we go again! And finally, that fabric collection! Love! We recently bought a sectional in a dark gray leather for the family room. I nearly had a stroke when it was delivered, it was so ginormous. I dubbed it the airport lounger. But those fabrics are exactly what I was envisioning for that room. Thanks for the inspiration. Best, Beth C.

Throwing your teeth in a cup - really!! How the heck old are you anyway? (obviously, no answer required) Happy Belated Birthday and I hope it was fun!

I am intrigued by that new app but I probably can't use it with my Macbook Pro :( Time to trade the dumb phone for a smart phone or a tab!

Happy Birthday Sheralita:

I know what you mean by all your humorous ... thoughts of the future. This year I turned s s s s 39. Humor gets us through lots of tough spots, even when people give your seat away.

I'm always a fan of a neutral color pallet and will look forward to seeing your new project.

Hope you had a happy b-day. I was just thinking I'm bored and it sure would be nice if Sherika would post some pretty images on her blog on this crappy, sleety/snowy day….and then there was that fish. About that! I hope he taste better than he looked. ;o)
So, I will look forward to the pretty post on Monday, or go back to the Waterlogue (sp?) photos. Have a good weekend!

Happy Birthday!!!!

I can't say I'd be so nice about the coffee and I'd be temped to pull a Fried Green Tomatoes stunt stating I'm older and have more insurance.

oh my, I don't know if I should be elated because I was referred to as "young" or ashamed about the cheap tent but I'm telling you that girl was a C U Next Tuesday..."um excuse me, my friend is sitting there...ALL THREE OF THEM?!" I was like DAMN apparently she needs some coffee too?!

Thank you my Sharita for Mom-ing me through the morning and getting me coffee like I was your sick child. And for schooling my ass now.

Love you more than you know,
"young person"

p.s. So much for having the "kindest" readers, that chic up top wants to BURN ME?! lol

Oh my god...another app to keep me from doing what I should be doing! Love that Ralph Lauren stripe...have been wanting to use that...love all your selections actually!!

Happy Birthday, Sherry! So who's blog do I open first? Yours. Why? Because you're not only talented and have a keen eye on design, you are delightfully funny and you keep things REAL. You are so refreshing!! The new ap beats Waterlogue! Cool, right?! Love your fabric swatches, colors and patterns. I'm using similar tones in my own LR right now. It kills me how I can put a client's room together with gusto, enthusiasm and confidence in no time. When it comes to my own, I vacillate because I like it ALL. Can you relate? Well, Birthday Girl, enjoy your birthday weekend! You rock!!

Aw, Happy Belated Birthday girl! I was so bummed that I couldn't go to conference and hang out with you and Amanda. I know you ladies had fun and she filled me in on all the great shopping places that you showed her. So fun! xo
