SCOTT'S DECEMBER

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas hanging with family.

We are down in Rosemary beach with friends to celebrate NYE.  [I hope no burglars are reading this].  It is something we have done for 9 years now so I guess it's a tradition.

I know I haven't done a Scott's post in a while cause  I was starting to feel like there wasn't anything new, but I did take a stroll down there this month.

By now you all know I am a sucker for old bottles.

….I have quite the obsession with glass beads lately.

And then we segue right into old blue bottles!

I'll take this coffee table please.

Hubba Hubba for this old pediment right?

I could definitely find a place for this coffee table.

Here is a closeup

How pretty!  Except try and keep one of those maidenhair ferns alive.  It's impossible.

We are all suckers for old doors.

Nobody wants this right?

Galvanized buckets with greenery just works.

Some cute art work….

I'm kind of feeling these….

You can always find some gorgeous old cabinets at Scott's.

Just to keep up my reputation….here are some of my favorite pillows!

What is not to love right?

I'm going to leave you with kind of a "Sherika" moment from the other day.  I was packing to come down to the beach and opened my medicine cabinet to gather some things.

I glanced up on a shelf and saw my dry spray shampoo and thought I need some fluff to my hair right now!  Grabbed the bottle…. threw my head upside down and started spraying it all over.

Then I noticed the smell….kind of citrusy.
At that moment I brought my head upright and looked at the bottle.

Spray sunscreen.

Crap.

Sucks to be me sometime.

Happy New Year :)

ShaBam!

Love, love that first coffee table - feels modern and rustic at the same time. And totally agree on the maiden hair ferns. I always tell clients to only get them if they are going to have a party and then consider them like fresh cut flowers - they're beautiful but not practical! M.
Happy New Year to you, friend! M.

Nice stuff and I sprayed my hair with an unmarked hairspray bottle that was filled with bleach at a person's house we were visiting. As soon as I smelled bleach I immediately washed it out!

Happy New Year!!

Can't wait til Jan 12 - haven't been to Scotts in AGES. Or the last 2 months, which is the same. At least your hair won't get sunburned. Happy New Year!

I love your trips to Scotts, since I haven't been able to go yet! Love the beads, too and the pillows and rustic furnishings. Oh my. Always something to covet. Hope you had a great holiday and that you got that gunk out of your hair, funny! xo Nancy

Gawwwwh! I don't think I will be able to swing a trip to Scott's when I am in Atlanta for the gift show next week - and it's probably just as well, hard to shop when you are going home via airplane vs. Uhaul! It would be torture!

A big THANKS for including my little blog on your sidebar - a major honor for me!

Muwahhh!

The next time you can't resist the temptation to buy a Maidenhair Fern, do it. Enjoy it in your home a few days, then plant it among your semi-shade loving Hostas. My mother encouraged me to do that and mom knew best. They lived; they thrived and even multiplied! Do it!

Hope you're having a great time! I'd be so broke if I lived anywhere near that place - all your posts make me wanna bust my wallet out!
