DESIGN PLAN

A while back I showed you a board for a living room.

Here is the space….

Here was the inspiration……...

That area will soon be a reality as all was ordered and arrived.

Now we are working on getting the rest of the room up to "code"……*making it pretty:)

Here is the inspiration for the rest of the room.

The floral Penley  was the starting point since it had already been purchased and will be over the mantel.

Here were my thoughts:

We had the room painted BM Seapearl to lighten up the space.

Work with the existing sofa which is a neutral tan that has a great classic style.

Makeover the bench so she sings.

Bring in some cream, black and navy.

The spindle chairs [which were purchased from Bassett] , rug and coffee table have all arrived.

Pillows [which includes the John Robshaw print from Duralee below, cream linen that will be monogramed] along with a table skirt are in production.

A pretty navy linen with this great cream trim is also being made.

A grouping of cream plates over the sofa….again to keep the space neutral.

I am excited to get in there and style this space which will happen before Christmas.
Saw these bad boys at C Wonder.

Lamps…..

There is also one more wall to address which I will share soon.

Can I just say how much I love my job?  Yes…even after 25 years I still obsess over design.

I don't see it letting up any time soon…..so you fellow design obsessed peeps be prepared to live with this affliction foreva

It's going to be an expensive week for me.  Hair colored, cut, and Keratin treatment.  I am sick of trying to tame this beast on top of my head and if it is going to be 60 degrees and rainy everyday then I don't want to look like a male rock star in the 70's.

I love the pops of additional color via the art and the flowers for inspiration. Always been a fan of all blues and navy will go with most anything so those colors pops are just going to shine. Oh, btw, I had one of those Keratin treatments done a few months back and L O V E it!! It is so worth every single dime. Have fun.

Can't wait to see it! Will you share the source for the floor lamp, please. I've been in the market for forever and I really like this one.

Such a great space to work on. The artwork is stunning! I love the infusion of blue-and-white in your design board and the shape of the mirrors and the John Robshaw fabric is so pretty. I look forward to seeing it all come together.

Affliction is right! That's why we do it for other people, right?...so we don't go broke in our own homes. ;) Diggin' the color scheme in this plan and loving the boxes from C Wonder.

Love, love, love all you design! It's SO real and liveable - as, 'real' people live here!
Wish you were closer so you could redo my space. Professional I used (open concept terrified me), did what SHE said was the right thing. I hate it but am stuck with it.

Oooh, that Robshaw fabric is one of my favorites, and I love the symmetry flanking the doorway. If I lived anywhere humid I'd be getting a treatment, too ~ my natural hair is so curly it's a sight!

love the peak and cannot wait for the reveal. Died laughing about
your hair as I had mine cut and
colored today and left in the
rain. I turned into a chia pet in
15 minutes flat ode to curly hair
gone to frizz. Must investigate
the keratin treatment in the dark.
