OMG...is he cute or what?
Come on you crafty people out there....you can do this!
I love this stuff....I know it is not the most traditional holiday decor but I am thinking that you could do a heck of a lot to gussy it up a little.
Garland!
Below was another nifty idea where they used wood from pallets. You can find those suckers everywhere.
Nice texture and free!
I pictured one of these in my last post but I found a few more. How simple....plywood. They wanted 300.00 for them. They used sea creatures and I love how simple they are, but with BIG impact!
Seriously, somebody do one and send me a picture!
On another note I am over this broken toe gig. Really....a broken toe hurts and it has been 6 weeks already. Still can not wear a shoe. What's up with that. This is NOT going to be a pretty holiday look!

I broke my little toe last summer. Luckily, I could get around in flip flops most of the time and it didn't compress my toe. It takes a while, but it WILL get better! I know how sensitive that can be. Get well soon!
love the little birdie! Feel better!

Giving away a Beau Ideal hand screen printed card!
Love the birdie too! I think Janell has one in her bedroom! I can see some of those decorations in a loft in Atlanta!
And a broken toe for the holidays? Yeah thats not a good look! But, you look fabulous regardless!
Oh no. Somehow I missed the broken toe thing. Was it broken during the wedding too? Poor thing. Glad you posted more of those paintings.

I wish I were more artistic or I might give those a whirl! So sorry about your toe - hope it mends soon especially since colder weather is upon us!
I missed the broken toe too! What a bummer! So Sorry.
That bird is fabulous. I wish we had a West Elm in town but for now I'll have to settle for the catalog. ;-)
Love the bird! Can you imagine wrapping the paper around his feet? Awesome!
Speaking of feet? I gotta go backwards and see how I missed the boken toe story!
Hope it is mending...
Lou Cinda :)
Got my catalog last night from them and I am loving it. We do not have a store here in Birmingham. Also, love your blog. In fact, I added you to my blogroll over the weekend. www.interiordesignmusings.blogspot.com. I think my readers will love your take on things. As for your toe, if it's any consolation, your pedicure looks great! M.
I am the worst friend in the WORLD? How did I miss that you broke your toe? I am so sorry. That is awful, Sherry. What would make you feel better?!
For me, even when my toe had healed, it took a couple months to "fit" into my dress shoes again- it stayed swollen. It's never a good time to be down, but there are WORSE times...and the holidays totally qualify for worse!! Good luck!
I'm off to wrap paper around SOMETHING!!!
Oh Lisa...that is what everyone has said! No cute holiday shoes for me :( And Julie....what would make me feel better is for you to wave a "magic wand" over my foot and "BAM" it is better....oh yea while you are waving that wand...I want to win the lottery...hee hee
Love the paper mache! How creative for this season.
Wow, I've missed a lot of posts, first of all...ouch, sorry about the toe! And I love that birdie and the wallpaper in today's post! Did you happen to see that My Notting Hill covered a sofa in the fern fabric? Amazing...
Janell
OH! bummer about the toe. I have heard they are so painful...
I so want to do that plywood art thing! I have something in mind....maybe I can get to it....
Nice blog I live here in Atlanta too! Stop by sometimes! xoxo
I never think to go in West Elm, but I LOVE the paper decor! That little bird needs a spot in my bird-loving home for sure!
Sorry about your toe! I broke my baby toe at the Wisteria outlet over Labor Day weekend and it STILL hurts!
Thanks for your "giving thanks" comment. So encouraging to hear others give thanks!
xo,
Linsey
