FAVORITE WALLPAPERS

Now that I have finished with the last 6 episodes of The Killing [on Netflix] my life has no meaning.  I mean yeah OK I have my dog and husband and family but there is this slight depression lingering.......

I am sure all it will take is a glimpse of a pretty pillow and I will bounce back to my old self:)

I can be so shallow at times.....

Alrighty then....what's up today.  How about  I share a few wallpaper samples I ran across while going through my stash.

These were some of my favorites.

I always love a print that you can still showcase art on....

A huge favorite....Schumacher-Manor Gate

Thibaut-Bamboo Lattice Metallic Grey

It comes in many color ways....

I think I have posted about this one before but I adore it...Schumacher-Birds and Butterflies

A classic favorite....Schumacher-Chenonceau

Love it in this color also....

This Thibaut pattern-Nairobi is a fav....below is an image of the blue....

And Dana Gibson's new line-Little Lanin is fast becoming a favorite [by Stroheim]

Love the large pattern of Schumacher's Indore Paisley.

I designed a bedroom for you with a slight masculine feel.

I have always loved gray and navy together.  The large print would be good on one wall or I might put  wainscoting 3/4 of the way up and apply the pattern above.

Wall Sconce: Rejuvenation
Bedside Table: Pottery Barn Teen
Quilt Comforter: Pottery Barn Teen
Window Treatment: Pottery Barn Teen
Rug: Pottery Barn
Sheets: Pottery Barn
Black and White Ticking Chair: Pottery Barn
2 Pieces of Photography: Pottery Barn

If you are searching for an area to wallpaper in your own home....maybe you will see something here that will work!

Happy Tuesday my friends....

DESIGN BOARD

Hope you guys had a great weekend.  We had a beautiful spring day on Saturday but rain on Sunday which is good for making everything look so green.

Which leads me to wishing you all a Happy St Patricks Day!

Yesterday I made the bad judgement of putting a tool in my hands.  That was a big mistake.

I was just trying to install a simple shelf and ended up with holes the size of Lake Michigan and enough frustration to fill it.

Crikey......it's just a few screws so why the hell did I have so much trouble?

The holes are patched and I am just praying that I don't have to paint the whole wall. That will send me into a nosedive.

I'm no fool....it outsmarted me and I know when to call in a professional.

It still makes me a little tense to talk about it.

I was at ADAC the other day looking at wallpapers and stumbled across this one.

Holy Foo Dogs!  It's by Sanderson.
It also comes in black.

Dayum....love.  As usual that got me thinking and the next thing I knew.....a plan was born.

I started with the teal color way and threw a little No. 9 Thompson at it.

Of course every room needs some Schumacher Leopard linen right?

And a small blast of color also.  Thibaut Zig Zag

It's no secret I am a big fan of natural fiber rugs....my go to texture in a room.  Merida.
It was starting to come together and I pictured it  in a dining room for some reason.

So I threw together a board.
Cause why not....it helped with the annoyance  of the power tool destruction.

I found the chandelier on Nierman Weeks....don't even go there unless you have a quadrillion dollars.

Check out this beauty.

The table is also from NW

Found these on 1st Dibs.  More money.

Some great art by Terrell James

Just some simple cream silk drapes.....

Maybe someone will install this plan and send me a picture.

Alrighty then.....I have some sanding and painting to do.

FABRIC STORY

Well we had 2 of the most gorgeous days here in Atlanta and now.....it is going down in the 30's tonight.  What in tarnation is going on with the weather....

Cra
zay.

The other day I posted this image on Instagram

I am working with a client that has a leather sofa close to that saddle color.

The family room is off the kitchen which is white, black and stainless.

It's no secret that I am a lover of black, cream and camel.....I even started a pinterest board to reflect that obsession.

Back to the fabrics.

The fern fabric which is from Sanderson is killing me so hard.  I believe it also comes in a wallpaper.

To get some texture in the mix I found a new favorite fabric from Thibaut.

Linen

It's a nice upholstery weight fabric that is so beautifully thick with raised stitching.

Here are my 2 other favorite colors.
Sand

Bark

The room needs to be painted so I pulled a few neutrals.

We also need 2 chairs so I rummaged through my Lee Industries samples.....

Of course there is this dining area in the kitchen that could possibly be wallpapered.....

It is still a work in progress.....so hopefully after tweaking and perfecting....I will share what was selected!

My whole house is a wreck today because I am having some painting done.....which I will be sharing soon.  Boy.....when you move everything away from the walls you realize how dusty the place it.

Might need a refresher course on how to clean.
